AdamsWells Internet Setup Sheet

Follow these simple instructions to setup your computer to access AdamsWells Internet.  If you have any questions regarding this setup, please contact us at (260) 565-3131 or (800) 917-7731 for support.

To setup the Internet connection:

 

  1. Click (Start) > Control Panel > Network & Sharing Center

  2. Click "Setup a New Connection or Network".

  3. Click "Set up a Dial up Connection"

  4. Click Next.

  5. Type in one of the following telephone numbers in the Phone number Next:

    565-1234                       Bluffton, Ossian, Uniondale, Craigville, Preble, Tocsin
    353-1234                       Markle, Poneto/Petroleum, Keystone
    824-6530                       Liberty Center
    692-6203                       Berne, Decatur, Pleasant Mills, Monroe
    589-2751                       Linn Grove, Geneva
    469-6060                       Fort Wayne, Zanesville
    *AdamsWells Internet is NOT Responsible for charges incurred from the use of incorrect dialup number.
  6. Type your “User name” and “Password” in the boxes.
  7. Type "AdamsWells" in the Connection Name box.
  8. Click Connect.
  9. Click Close.

Note: Windows 7 does not include a standard email client.
Microsoft recommends downloading "Windows Live Mail."

To setup mail for Windows Live Mail:

  1. After Downloading & Installing "Windows Live Mail"
    Cancel Prompt for Windows Live Signup.
  2. Open Windows Live Mail
  3. Add an Email Account will open.
  4. Type Email Address, Password, & Display Name.
  5. Check Remember Password & Manually configure settings for email account.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Incoming mail server is a POP3.
  8. Incoming mail server: pop.adamswells.com.
  9. Uncheck: This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
  10. Click Next.
  11. Outgoing Server: smtp.adamswells.com
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Finish.

The following directions will set your home page to AdamsWells.com (optional):

 

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools > Internet Options
  3. Type the following in the “Address” box under the “Home Page” setting:  http://www.adamswells.com
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Restart Internet Explorer.
